I am happy to queue for as long as necessary as long as it involves leaving Cambridge after lectures. I can be patient if it means nicer seats/less faff/whatever! In other words, Plants finishes at 12 and I am ready to go from however long it then takes to get from Plant Sciences to our mode of transport. So train from 12:30pm onewards, even!
Petrol-splitting sounds fine to me if it can be arranged, but if it can't the sooner we book tickets the more we save, I should think. Additionally, trains would also probably mean working out a return time (unless there is a cheap ticket type that maybe allows us to go back at any time that night).
