is an approximation of how my computer sounded for all of last night and most of this morning.

Fortunately, on this occasion it was deliberate. Deciding that my computer could, potentially, die any day now, I backed the whole thing up on to ditto tape. 11 hours, eek! Having to get up and change tapes 15 minutes after I went to bed, owing to the computer having suddenly decided that the first one was broken screwed all plans I had of a full 8 hours' sleep. Still, I doubt my body can really tell the difference between 8 hours and 7 hours 55 minutes.

I was dreaming my computer had a load of viruses. Lovely.

My Yahoo is getting filled with infected junk. I have to squeeze the pus from it from time to time by clicking 'empty bulk mail'. This is a 1 month old account. I can only assume that either FF.net or AFF.net or both are frequently patrolled by spambots.

Oooh, good thing - Her Kittyness, [livejournal.com profile] e_p_kitty, is transferring her fics to AFF.net, which contains much more friendly and reasonable individuals than the FF.net moronspeople. Yay!

I am generally feeling much more pleasantly disposed towards the world today.

Hehehe - the Mexican dude asked to borrow my notes again. He gave them back OK (although, alas, with no chocolate - maybe tomorrow!). Commented that he liked the elephant (this was the doodle I drew when I got bored, captioned, "Nelly the elephant packed her trunk and didn't have to go to a Cells lecture on a Bank Holiday Monday.") Also commented that he found the notes harder to understand this time. Which seems kind of an odd comment considering I don't make the notes for him, I make them for me. I don't care if he can't read my writing; it's me who needs to be able to make sense of my notes, and I can. :p
