Maize maze/pricks/Fics
13 July 2004 18:19Yesterday we went to the maize maze. That was fun - I got charged kids' entry price (hee!) and got to run around for over an hour getting lost and unlost again. My brother decided to take charge of navigating up out, and sucessfully put us in the wrong bit of the maze, then gave up and shoved the map at me (I know, maps are cheating!). So in the end me (right-handed female with no sense of direction) was the one to navigate us out successfully - go me!
Then we played with the pedal-cars next to the maze. I went really fast (=slow walking speed) and discovered that on tight corners the easiest method was to stand up and walk the car around. Which I did. And my dear mother bought us ice cream! Yay! It had chocolate chips in and everything :)
Today I fell asleep on the back lawn in the sun. I woke up to find my brother had come to visit. He collected a large number of fallen holly leaves, and tried to make me roll on to them. When that failed, he just poked me with them lots. I got 3 small puncture wounds that actually bled (only a teeny drop though). He actually inflicted more damage on himself than he did on me.
I'm learning about the world of Fushigi Yugi - it's kind of interesting, and I am genuinely turning into an anime and manga freak. Ooops.
All I Have Left. Yes. This is the one I was posting about at the weekend.
Disclaimer #1: I absolutely swear on all I hold dear that I hadn't even heard of of Erik's fic Forgotten and Forsaken up until the orther day. Therefore, any resemblance is actually, geninelly coincidental. Really.
Title: All I Have Left
Author: Enismirdal enismirdal@caths.co.uk
Rating: R overall (PG for this chapter)
Pairing: Eluréd/Elurín (eventually)
Disclaimer: They're not my boys, they're Tolkien's. I'll take good care of them and hug them lots and he can have them back any time he wants. No insult intended; no profit made.
A/N: Naath's challenge was to complete the set: Elladan/Elrohir, Elrond/Elros…and Eluréd/Elurín. I admit being picky about the canon sources I use, cos otherwise they're not necessarily twins, which sort of takes half the fun out of it, don't you think?
I know I'm not the first person to write what happened to Eluréd and Elurín after the Ruin of Doriath, but I've deliberately avoided reading any of the others whilst writing this.
Thank you to Katy and Rivvie for your lovely beta work *smiles and hugs*
( All I Have Left, Chapter 1 - it's about 8 pages long )
