Firstly,
Happy Birthday to the lovely Celebrimbor! *sends hugs and lots of choklit!*
Stuffness going fine. Found out interesting stuff about synchronous flowering in bamboo for Plants (it's quite impressive when 10 000 square km of bamboo all flowers at the same time, then dies, then grows back and repeats this process approximately once ever 50-100 years!).
Lovely coffee with
pincushions and Helen, another friend. Borders' 20% discount means giant coffee currently the same price as a small one is normally. Am getting very keen on idea of getting labwork abroad over summer. Lots of chatting. Lots of coffee. Caffeinated! Eni warning.
Did more laundry - discovered that either a) tumble driers are evil and that day decided that they need you to press the button once for every 10 minutes of drying time you want, or b) there is some evil villain sneaking around using other people's drying time to dry their own clothes...which I think could be done if you are very sneaky indeed.
Either way, clothes came out damp and Eni too stingy to pay for another round in the drier, so room currently filled with clothes hanging over anything over which clothes can be hung. Hopefully they'll dry in the tropical heat of my room (having an aversion to ventilation and an inability to sleep when too cold, my room is typically kept WARM).
Am I hungry? I'm still trying to work it out. I think I am *goes to find some kind of food* A good time of day for toast and marmalade, I think...
EDIT - marmalade plan foiled by suspicious white fluffy organism that said marmalade appears to be culturing. MARMALADE IS NOT MEANT TO GO MOULDY!
Oh, and setting oneself up for a depo shot in Cambridge is far more fiddly than in Manchester. The doctor actually wrote me a prescription! And he couldn't give it to me right there and then, apparently; I have to come back tomorrow. Are male doctors not allowed to give women injections in their butts? But I dicovered that I love the NHS - I thought prescriptions cost money, but this one didn't. *pleased*
