Present thingies

Eni opens one package to find a woolly hat inside, a stocking-filler from her dad.

Eni: Ooooh! Hat! *tries on hat*
Parents, grinning: It actually rather suits you!
Brother: Ha ha! You look like a homeless person!

Also got a cookery book...now I can read it and then disregard the instructions and reinvent each recipe my way!

My dad got my brother bangers. My brother is finding out what happens when you let them off near to party poppers...

You can tell that Christmas TV doesn't do anything for me, can't you?

I just found the original dedication I wrote when I first started Blood, Sweat and Tears:

"Also thank you to my Population Genetics lecturer, who was so direly boring that I was motivated to start this on my lecture handouts, as well as inspiring me to calculate Elladan and Elrohir's inbreeding coefficient (which is approximately 0.005 if you believe in Elmo, about the equivalent of being offspring of second cousins once removed. But I'm sure you didn't want to know that.)"

I think this may be wrong...depends whether I factored in Celeborn's possible relation to Nimloth. Next time I'm sufficiently bored, I'll recalculate.

In other news, my watchstrap has finally broken. This doesn't surprise me, as it's been steadily expiring over the last 4 months. Luckily, the watch is so cheap it will be easier to buy a new watch than a new strap for it.
