Life events of note:

Finally finished set essays. Woohoo! Tomorrow I will do no work. It's official. Therefore will spend time having fun doing betaing for the lovely Jai instead :)
Went shopping. Found bourbon creams, which have been absent from Sainsbury's since they renamed and remarketed their cheapo range. Bought borubon creams (in snazzy new purple packaging) and found they have been made shorter and fatter and look different.
should have bought conditioner but forgot.
Spent money on lager (Foster's cans going cheap - 69p each!!).
Spent more money on spinach. My new random food craving :D It's yummy.
Maranta looking really a bit off colour now. I think maybe it needs feeding. *wonders if can persuade parents to post her a couple of little sachets of plant food*
Got another twins plotbunny, halfway between AU and just-about-plausible. I regard this as a good thing as the muses are so strong now that when AIHL gets to an end I'd be utterly at a loose end without something else to do with them.
Tarja from Nightwish has very nice boobs.
Was VERY glad I had a supervision at 4:30pm today, as it gave me an excuse to escape the evil Cells "practical" (as others have said, basically a 2 hour+ long lecture about yeast cytoskeletons, but so badly explained I never understood why we were bothering to learn about this, and most of the information went over my head anyway). I probably missed a bit because of the supervision, but to be honest I would rather be eating Creme Eggs and discussing Plants with Dr Carr any day!
Went to John Ray Society lecture (the first in about 5 years, so I gather), in which Dr Mason (who I shamelessly fangirl) was telling us who John Ray was. He turns out to have been an amazing Botanist, Zoologist, Naturalist, Linguist, Classicist, Etymologist and scholar in general, as well as having gone to my college (go him!). He worked out cool stuff, like that dolphins are not fish, and described over 6000 plant species in wonderful detail (and in Latin...).
This was preceded and then followed by wine reception(s), at which Chardonnay was served. I am somewhat sensitive to Chardonnay, so I lurched somewhat on the way home and was happy and bubbly and couldn't spell. I also was suffieciently relaxed to tell half a dozen first years which subjects they want to do in their 2nd year...although Dr Mason and Jamie seemed to disagree with my recommendations!

OK, long entry...will go to bed now. Actually, one more cup of tea first... :)
