Well, when my dad and his brothers cleared out my granny's flat after she died, they took away various things, it seems. Paintings (she was an artist when she had time) and also a bottle of chocolate-mint liquor stuff. Which they don't like. And I do. So it's all mine now. Oh, and I'd never seen a death certificate before, but now I have. They are really interesting, actually.
Brother his usual self - he seems to take great amusement in telling me at all possible opportunities just how small I am.
Mum had a panic moment; she intended to bring 2 sets of car keys to college so we could load up the car but never had to leave the car unnattended and unlocked in the process. She spent part of the afternoon in a frantic faff thinking she'd lost a set...and then found them hanging up on the key-hooks where they are meant to be! Classic ditz moment.
My dad bought a signal generator and showed it to me. I haven't a clue how it works, but you can use it to jam radio signals in the very immediate (a few metres) vicinity.
Yesterday consisted of packing, writing, wandering aimlessly around Cam and buying fudge. And then pub with Girly in the evening. Which was lovely - the barman recognised us (!!) and we got to hug and be happy and eat sweeties. Very nice.
The day before was non-stop running around. Plants meeting, essay, room picking (I got a beautiful older room with all wood panelling and stuff. It's gorgeous, and the bathroom just got redone, and the loo is being retiled. Not the best room in college, but I think I will enjoy it! 2 windows rather than just the one :) ), Abner's party (Blackadder!), quick dinner, concert with a friend - I saw
