Life update
17 February 2006 20:14So...stuff has happened.
On Monday I did blood donatingage. The nurse who was looking after me was also into animal behaviour and shared my love of beeeeeeeees, so we talked about beeeeeeeeees and fangirled them and things. I learned that if you've had ibuprofen on Wednesday, you can give blood the following Monday. Talked to fellow donors as we munched bourbon creams at the end, and learned that one was AB+, which is like the exact opposite of me. Oh, and I was complimented on my cool and awesome veins. Yay my veins. Also: no bruising, go me! (Even though I never leave the plaster on as long as I'm meant to.)
On Tuesday there was CTSness. We talked about the Inklings and mostly considered topics like religion, allegory (which I still can't pronounce) and redemption. It was interesting and insightful and I liked it. Then![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
mdavison came and poked my computer and declared that it is a Sick Computer, more or less. It seems it is unlikely to be the monitor that is kaput, but may be some aspect of the power supply, the motherboard, the graphics card... (Oh, the two screws that got lost in the footwell turned up. My bare feet are good at finding small pointy things.)
On yesterday there wasinnocencestness. I have now seen all of Star Wars. Yay!! There were many nibbleable nibbles, and lots of caffeine, making me swing between bouncyhyper and sleeeeepy. Yoda being a Jedi is really funny and cute. There were also many hugs and cuddles and some crying in my hair, though not by me. Although when Anakin got all burned up I sniffled a bit. Hayden Christensen may not be able to act, but he is really really hot. And Anakin with fluffy hair is like, drooool machine. Mmmmmm.
Tomorrow there will be the Taruithorn banquet, at which I will wear a Dress. With Doc Martens, but nonetheless, Dress-wearing will occur. I will also eat much, and chatter to Oxfordy people about Elves, and watch them be pretty and costumed. And probably attempt to dance. I know this dress permits Irish Dancing (or at least, Eni pretending to be Jean Butler style Irish Dancing), but I have no idea if it will be suitable for any other kind.
