Spring is here!
26 March 2006 16:42To celebrate the transition to British Summer Time, the weather has obliged us by turning warm and springlike. If this condition persists tomorrow, I may attempt to walk to Grantchester or something, depending on how busy I am and whether I get an e-mail tomorrow morning telling me I need to go to London and/or the bee lab.
Just took LOTS of bottles and cans and jars to the recycling bank. People looked at me a bit funny sometimes - they probably thought I was a raging alcoholic because of the number of bottles I had. But spread out over 9 weeks, it's really not very much a week at all.
That will be one less thing to worry about on Wednesday, when parents take me back Oop North.
The new design for lotrfanfiction.com doesn't give hit counts any more. I sort of liked the hit counts, just because they gave me something to check periodically, like BBC news, to see what's new. *likes having things to check*
MSN Groups has recently been evil and decided Adult groups are now not allowed on their site any more, so are moving all the Adult groups to this place called WorldGroups, which I hate muchly. MSN groups were a nice place to do roleplaying games because they were Pretty and Not Too Much Faff. WorldGroups is not terribly pretty and insanely slow. But I'm sure we'll all manage. Larian & co. have done a great job moving Mist over, and I've sort of bumbled my way through doing the same for SoCs, so it seems to be working.
Jobs for today: e-mail parents, possibly start The Giant LJ Update of Enormousness (in which I catch up with everything I've been too busy to report in the last 3 weeks), post an Éowyn, write some fic, go to library, download more pdfs, plan out what I'm eating for the next 3 days so I don't have any perishable stuff to throw out on Wednesday.
