Organisement!
28 June 2006 23:03Right, need to do actual update now. Happy (Belated) Birthday to
karamarie_mckay for yesterday and Happy (In Advance) Birthday to
ssotknapsack! - as I was clearly too inept to manage shoutouts yesterday and probably will be tomorrow too.
Tomorrow is a Designated Packing Day, so likelihood is that I'll make several small, irrelevant posts to pass the time. Things that need doing tomorrow include collection of silly mortar board for posing in, and fluffy hood for ceremony, and attendance at Graduation Dinner, which will be fun as I'll be in a dress and my legs, for various reasons involving my own ineptness, are currently an amusing patchwork of bruises. Hee!
Friday is the day of the ceremony. Looking forward to that, as it will be pompous, slightly ridiculous, and 400 years out of date. Hooray! And also strawberries on Main Court lawn. So in 48 hours I'll have left Cambridge nominally forever.
Of course, this won't actually be forever, as the place is addictive and there are far too many beloved geeks here acting as an incentive to make me return! Also, I have an open offer from some of my PlantSci mates to join them in the tea room whenever I'm up here.
Cambridge is full of pretty, overdressed people. Yay!
