Halloween party
29 October 2006 15:16Our flat had a halloween party.
It went on till 4:30am BST or 3:30am GMT. Probably a good thing the clocks changed partway through, then!
There was a large bottle of Jägermeister. This stuff smells vile and I flatly refused to drink any. This did not put the rest of the partygoers off, and around half the bottle was consumed. Most of that by one person. I stuck with Lambrusco and remained soberish but hyper.
Unlike a lot of Camgeek parties, there wasn't a lot of kissing, except between the established couple present. Which was a little disappointing as I was in the mood to kiss random pretty geeks. Oh well.
There may be a photo or two of partygoing!Eni. We'll see.
All in all, though, the party went well. There was very little mess to clear up today and nothing horrible happened. Well, except that flatmate's boyfriend went clubbing in Leicester Square, phoned her at 11 to declare that he was lost and didn't know how to get to ours, then proceeded to walk in circles around Leicester Square and Tottenham Court Road for 3 hours. He finally started walking towards East London at about 2am, got as far as Shoreditch (about 2 miles away from here) and then, after all that, gave in and got a cab! So he missed all but the last 10 minutes of party.
The cold I had last week has now moved down into my lungs, yay. So I'm snotty and sore throaty. But perky and not running a fever or anything, so feel all right altogether. I just sound a little rough. Of course, this means I can't give blood for another week until I'm certain I'm not still bunged up with virus. Which isn't great, as the UK O negative stocks are running really low at the moment. And is even less great since London blood donor sessions are incredibly infrequent/irregular in this part of the city. Seriously, I'm likely to find myself travelling 3 Tube stops along just to get to a session before December. And take an afternoon off work. Which means working late the rest of the week...grrr... Blood people, I'm trying to help you here!!
