Been a busy few days. Also expensive, but Christmas time always seems to be like that.
Conference yesterday. Was good. Small, but fun, if ant-centric. Met many great people of greatness. Learned more about wasps. Was really tired when I got home.
Today I have only actually been awake for 10 hours, but they seem to have ended up crammed with more Stuff! Went to Bethnal Green and bought many things, like PVA glue for flatmate, lambs' hearts for me, and a spice rack thing that may cause more problems than it solves, but we'll see.
Then we went to Soho, to Hummus Bros, which is a speciality hummus restaurant. Much hummus was eaten. They also do hot spiced apple juice, which is like mulled wine but without the alcohol, and I can strongly recommend it! :D Their "malabi" pudding is nice, but sort of like creme caramel really. The "date honey" is basically sweetened treacle (treacle as in molasses, not treacle as in golden syrup). The hummus is quite interesting, more tahini-like and less garlicky than normal, but comes with a lemon-garlic dressing. The tabbouleh is YUM.
We were very full - so full that when we went to the pub afterwards, we had no space for more than one drink and went home after that.
Am really really tired for some reason... Don't understand it. But slept for 10 hours last night, and seem to be likely to do the same tonight.
On the plus side, this week we got a new shower curtain, yay, and the maintenance man came and fixed our broken second shower. It's now warm, pressure-ful and generally shiny.
