Reasons why today has been a good day...

1. The snow was pretty. If cold.
   
2. Nina's Heavenly Delights DVD arrived.
   
3. After last night's discussion with ilanin about computer memory, I opened up the bit on my computer with the memory in to swap the two chip thingies over, and found that the 512MB one had come loose and was about to go walkies inside my computer case. So now I've fixed that and my computer now believes it has 768MB of RAM not 256MB, and runs like a dream. It no longer feels like it's about to break!
   
4. I went to an interdepartmental tea-break and met some nice compscis.
   
5. Most importantly: BEEBEEBEEBEEBEEBEEBEEBEEBEEBEEBEE!!!!!!!!!!
   

Yes, my beeeeeeeeeeeeeees arrived today. They are a sweet little colony with a good-sized queen and some nice looking workers, and I got to help move them from their travelling box into a nice, warm nesting box, and then connected them up to the flight arena all by myself. And then spent most of the afternoon watching them.

Two of them were coming and going during the afternoon, and they were clever bees that remembered to turn back and look to make sure they could find their way home, so I have high hopes.

And then in the last 10 minutes before I went home, one of them landed on one of the plastic flowers I put out for them.

So I may be able to start some experiments rather soon! *bounce*
