Last night we had a Tube Station Party as a way to say goodbye to flatmate who is doing all the rest of her Masters at field stations.

The basic premise of a Tube Station Party is that you come as a Tube Station. For example, Barbican is supposed to be the best - you partner up with someone, and one of you comes as Barbie and the other as Ken.

We had a very cute Angel, a Hammersmith (by an Alum of Smith College, MS, carrying a hammer), a half-arsed Golders Green and a Barkingside. Also, a Grange Hill, and naturally, a Cockfosters. The Fosterscock lasted about 4 hours, so pretty good going. I was persuaded to be West India Quays - original plan had been to come as Tooting Broadway, but apparently wearing the infamous salwar kameez, and hanging my legendary enormous bunch of keys/keyrings round my neck was a good costume.

Photos to follow, I am sure...

We redecorated the kitchen with fake "adverts" and Poems on the Underground (i.e. flatmates' bad limericks and so on!), turned five tissue boxes into a Tube train, and made sure there was a London Lite lying around (at least until a glass was broken and lots of newspaper was needed to clear up the mess!).

Got to bed at...um...4:45am. Got up today at 2pm. Yay!

But I do miss flatmate. *pouts*

Don't let me forget BST starts from tonight.

Yay for going to a sensible timezone! Even if it is at the expense of an hour's sleep. Well, for me, I'll just lose an hour of the day instead...

Tux has been linking me to clips of Torchwood and Dr Who, leaving me with an aching urge to get all the DVDs. Largely in order to watch all the Captain Jack kissing scenes over and over, yay.
