Well, I'm back...

Got back home around 11:30am today - which just shows how thoroughly buggered London transport is today (there are major strikes of Tube maintenance workers, for non-Londoners), since the plane touched down dead on time at 6:50am! As usual, Heathrow baggage reclaim took forever, but I was on a train out of Heathrow by 8am so the fact that it took more than three hours to get back is a bit scary. If I ever meet someone who works for Metronet, I will say bad words to them.

Enough of that, however, as I really have no right to complain. South Africa is SO TOTALLY AMAZING! There are no words to describe just how much it rocks.

I will do pretty much ANYTHING to go back next year, oh yes.

Will post stories and pictures later. Have many.

Also, got to phone the most lovely and gorgeous keiliss, who is as fantastic on the phone as on the internet and it was truly lovely to speak to her! :D :D *squees happily*

Today I am taking it easy. An overnight flight followed by navigating London transport amidst chaos is not a recipe for good functioning Enises!

ETA: I've had chance to skim back through a subset of my LJ Flist so have at least a vague idea of worldly happenings in my absence

ETA2: Has anyone posted any update on ford_of_bruinen or should I bring interested parties up to date? (She's not very well but should hopefully be improving now.)

So, where is Uli?

For those of you who might have wondered where she's been lately - I don't think she's been online much for the last couple of weeks generally as hubby has had holiday time off work and so I guess they've been spending quality time together. :)

However, the other reason she's been not around is because she's been not very well - from the information I've had, it's another dreaded kidney infection, coupled with blood pressure that's been intermittently a bit on the high side. Hopefully it's all just a stress reaction from worrying and having had such awful pregnancy nausea, but they had her into hospital for a bit to check her out. The last text I got from her said she was going home at noon today - hopefully that's what happened and she's now snuggled on the sofa with a good book!

ETA: Hehe, she just IM'd me so I guess she's home! ;)
