Ring ring ring

My ring finally arrived at the start of this week - it was as described, a plain bronze ring. 15th century, as it turns out - so really pretty much retro rather than ancient! Definitely "late mediaeval" rather than anything else! Fits perfectly, and seems to look better now I've been wearing it nearly a week so its been through some showers and moisturiser applications (which do not seem to have damaged it any, so I'm not worried, and removed whatever oil they'd put on it to preserve it in the museum that smelled kind of like cheese...).

Housemate #4 is now back from India, so we're all one big happy family, the fridge is almost overflowing and it's all great. We had 18 people in the house at one point yesterday as other flatmate was holding a reunion of people she met on her summer internship a couple of years ago. That was rather exciting and crazy!

Went to a firework display at Victoria Park last night. It was pretty good - I was impressed and I normally hate the things! They did a burning Guy and a burning Big Ben hoisted up on flagpoles, and then the clock on Big Ben turned out to be a catherine wheel and was soooo cool, and the finale of it all turned pretty much the whole sky red.
