Americans on my Flist, please enlighten me!

Neither of my American flatmates have heard of a pasting table. Do these things exist in America? How do you hang wallpaper without them? Are my flatmates just strange people who've never hung wallpaper?

Also...do you really not have spagbol in America? Spaghetti bolognese is one of my favourite easy and cheap meals!

This is by no means a criticism...just my astonishment at things I take for granted not existing in other countries!
