Well, I need to finish the report, but it's a bit like writing an essay - writing it whilst sober is suboptimal; writing it without chocolate within reach is insane, and really I need a looming pressure to get me motivated enough to sort that final paragraph.
Supervisor's gone to Australia and taken my data with him. Now the big wood anatomy names get to see Eni's approach to science. Or something.
It's too bad the International Association of Wood Anatomists Journal makes you pay to publish articles in there unless you're a member...I have grown rather attached to that journal and if they did publish for free he might have persuaded me to put in another while of work to make the analysis from something rough-and-ready to something shiny and publishable...
Last night was fun. First there was a summer student party thing, in which the ratio of bottles of wine to people was about 0.8:1. They had these little smoked salmon canapé doodah thingies that were delicious and very moreish. I also nibbled the garnishes, as one does.

ilanin's for pizza (as he actually has access to an ovenating machine and I do not). Pizza was yummy, music was fun. I bounced and things and was happy. Was a lovely evening.
