I hadn't realised fanfiction had made it on to YouTube now...

Incidentally, someone called Fontier has made a vid about Erestor, using a fair bit of fanart - s/he credits Nellas, but not Say and the other artists. I wondered how kosher this was, and whether it was widely known? Of course, there seem to be literally dozens of similar videos with similar use of large numbers of uncredited pics these days, so I'm not really sure it's worth commenting on anyway...

Even in this one there is a lot of art not credited... I noted Ebe Kastein for one... And commenting is disabled for this vid.

Iceelfling also made this vid which a bunch of us commented on because she used a lot of art without crediting... I haven't seen Fontier's...

It's a 'humph' situation, I think. They should really ask permission and credit. It's not nice.

Yeah, I remember the kerfluffle over that IceElfling vid. I just wasn't sure if some arrangement had been reached since then. It's simply not cool to make something like that without even giving credit to the artists, never mind not seeking permission (if I did that in a scientific paper my career would be ruined and there would a huge drama and I'd probably never get another position)!

Not bad. It isn't as self explanatory as my favourite YouTube clips (Iced Earth's Gettysburg songs with clips from the film).
