Items on the agenda:
1. It's not one, but two people's birthdays today. So Happy Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] nellasofdoriath and [livejournal.com profile] rivendell_elf - hope you have a great day!! We could have a double birthday party with lots of pretty elf-lords to be had by all!

2. I purchased mulling syrup from Sainsbury's on Friday as it was going "cheap" (i.e. it was a pound less than normal). This is an excellent replacement for my Gluehfix, which alas is now almost all gone. I had to dig out my corkscrew because some bright spark decided, "Wouldn't it be quaint to give the mulling syrup a wax-sealed cork instead of a sensible screw-top?" Having overcome that setback, I then realised that I was not about to drink any more wine after the other night. So instead I used Sainsbury's 62p a litre orange and mango squash! It really does work rather well; the spices bring out the piney taste of the mango, and it's all sweet and hot and yummy. Yay!

3. I am all out of chocolate. And because I'm also out of margarine, I can't even make chocolate goo to keep me going. This situation must be rectified today.

4. Eluréd/Elurín sheet proved to be right where I'd left it, under the bench. Thank the Great Dragon. Thank you, Great Dragon!!

Chocolate goo? I don't think I want to know... o.o

What luck! Are your janitors really lazy, or just considerate of people loosing their notes, or what?

Chocolate goo: take equal amounts of hot chocolate powder, sugar and margarine/butter in a bowl and microwave until all the margarine/butter has melted/ Stir well. If you don't crave sweetness the way I do, you can use less sugar or cocoa instead of hot chocolate.

It's quite an effective last resort if all the chocolate is gone, and my brain tells me it has a calorific value of zero (please don't spoil my illusion!!) so I don't feel guilty about eating it either. :)

I don't think they clean the lecture hall on a Friday night. And if they do, they probably just sweep the obvious bits, like the steps, rather than sticking their heads under benches.

Just... wow. Well, see, I think it's the butter part that gets to me. I can't imagine just eating chocolate-flavored butter. I think my poor arteries would explode!

I'm not a big fan of chocolate, but here is a concoction (I <3 that word) that me and my friend Sarah discovered when we were desperate for sweets: Fill up a blender with vanilla ice cream (preferably [probably spelled that wrong, but not caring right now] Breyer's, if you have that where you are, but I don't know), next, add a packet of hot chocolate powder (we used Swiss Miss), and then add however much milk you want (depending on whether you want it thick or thin). Now, blend the ever-living shit out of it. Voila! Un milkshake.
