Back to school :-S
19 December 2003 16:46Last night went back to school to collect A-level certificates and an Achievement Award for sucking up to teachers :-) Included WHSmith vouchers - can't complain. Then went to pub with all dudey friends. Where I bought bad wine for an unnecessarily large amount of money, and then got tipsy and fell off my chair and then drank coke and got sober again.
Also, met some of my old teachers, which was nice. Also, got told off by Mum for chewing gum throughout the entire ceremony (I was bored!). The guest speaker talked on and on and on...
Today spent revising and attempting to organise room. Resisted the urge to boot up computers and check mail until nearly 2pm. Then found 2 overflowing inboxes, so wished I'd checked earlier.
In Sept, I was struck by the urge to make jam. So I headed down to the canal where blackberries grow, picked lots and made 3 pots of jam. When I left for uni in Oct, I told my parents they could chuck out the remaining jam if they wanted to. They didn't. Today I found it was still in the fridge where I left it, and more than that - it wasn't even a teeny bit mouldy! Hmm - I only added about half the sugar you're supposed to to make jam, and no preservatives, so I get the impression artificial preservatives probably don't do much. It tastes fine.
Little bro has gone with his mates to see ROTK today. I expect him to come home suitably impressed. If not, he may have to endure a lecture by me on why he should be.
