It's one of those days

Everything today seems to vaguely annoy me. I wrote a stress-list when I realised this morning that something was bugging me, then looked at it, decided I was sleep-deprived and took a nap. Woke up feeling slightly more human, but haven't really got anywhere since then. I did an essay plan, but without any enthusiam, and couldn't really concentrate. Peeked at a couple of lecture handouts. Literally peeked.

Computer keeps crashing and being stupid, which doesn't help in the slightest. Sick of having to restart the damn thing. Sick of having to sit there twiddling ym thumbs while programs load. Sick of having to sit through a 2-minute boot sequence.

It got to just before six o' clock, when I'd finished beta'ing Tallulah's fic, and I decided to go shopping. Got to Sainsbury's to discover that, as it was a Bank Holiday, they were closing at 6. Grabbed the stuff I wanted and paid for it - no time to browse since they were trying to clear us out.

Got back to Catz to discover it was pasta night. All you can eat pasta and garlic bread for £2.50. Which is fine, if you want 4 plates of carbonara. Less fine when all you want is a small plate of spagbol, and don't particularly want to be charged £2.50 for that, instead of the usual £1.22. So I got the damn spagbol. It wasn't even good spagbol.

So yeah, I'd quite like to stop Today and give Tomorrow a try, cos things are just niggling me at the moment.

I will seek comfort in solitude, mulled orange/lemon/pineapple squash and choklit.

Go to Windows Update and patch your machine. Make sure you haven't got the Sasser worm. If you get errors talking about LSASS.EXE, be especially worried.

*sighs* Sorry you're having a rotten day. My day has been pretty crappy, too. Must be one of those days. :(

Will do, thanks. But I think it's really more a matter of, "I'm a ten year old computer and I don't have the memory to cope with all the fancy hardware and software you're flinging at me." It's pretty predictable, really. These days I can tell it's about to crash 5 minutes beforehand if I'm lucky ;)

Aw, thanks hun. I've done the coffee thing and the chocolate thing, and it helped a bit. I'm going to try the sleep thing a bit more now.

I'm OK for company, actually - socialising seems all like too much effort. Actually, so does everything really. Sleep, yeah, I thank I can manage a bit of that.
