Well, This Hope is now posted in its voluminous entirety to both ardaslash and the Erestor Yahoo group. I'll put the remaining bits on ElvesWarriorsandScribes in a little while - first I want to finish this essay on parental care in animals :p

Have realised why I haven't seen my favourite 8" Kitchen Devil lately - it seems to have been co-opted into becoming the corridor communal knife (hardly surprising since it's better than any of the others in the kitchen, and is a helluvalot sharper). I have reclaimed it.

The guy next door to me seems to be getting stressed, as he's practically chain smoking, I suspect. Which would be his business and all, except in this weather, it's nice to have windows open, and the smoke is coming out of his and into mine. Being not a fan of smoking, I can't say I'm greatly enamoured of this...

I'm now only about two breakfasts away from being able to send off for my LOTR Top Trumps Cards that you can get with the Weetabix offer. Weetabix Mini Crunch with chocolate chips in are a most decidedly ingenious invention.

And no-one has nicked my carrots this time :D

I finally found the time to sit down and do some reading. I read the first two chapters here on your lj, but it was so late that I did not leave a comment. I finished the whole story this morning..well, it is afternoon now.. on the Elves, Warriors, and Scribes group and will leave feedback for you there. Needless to say, I was not in the least bit disappointed. I love all of Ezra's work and 'The Silence' is one of my favourites. Your story definitely does it justice!

carrots

i got charged twice for a can of carrots in sainsburys today.
the guy on the checkout scanned the can through and then decided he wanted to pack something else into the bag first, so scanned something else then re-scanned the carrots. ive been asking myself whether i let him get away with it because he's incredibly cute or because i didnt feel like making a scene.
hmmm
who knows....

Nasty man!! :( Well, I guess it was probably the second reason, but isn't it so much nicer to convince yourself it was the first?

I got me a Mullerrice today (how many 'r's has that got in it?). I got to eat that mid afternoon :) And a big bag of carrots cos they didn't have any little ones. *crosses fingers and hopes they also stay in the fridge*
