Now that the guineas are in the vet nurse's capable hands, I proceeded to give the hutch a thorough cleaning, with scrubbing, purple disinfectant and the hosepipe. Although the hutch is cleaned out at least every other day, often more than that, an amazing amount of dirt managed to get ingrained in the woodwork. Most impressive. It's now sparkly-clean and floral fresh.
And my hands have been slightly ruined by the disinfectant; they feel kind of dried out and shrivelled up. *applies liberal quantities of moisturiser*
Takeaways tonight, so we don't have leftover food to worry about. Yay! Shish kebabs and greasy fries for Eni.
You know, the thunder has been more or less constant for the last two hours...^^
