Holiday snaps!
25 August 2004 20:38Right, I've resized the photos a bit, so they're all individually under 200K, but there are several of them so dial-up people beware.
Firstly, the gorgeousness of Scottish lakes:

And mountains:

My room in the Inverness hotel (sorry about the dodgy quality - no flash on cheapy camera!)

Pollock Hall, stately home place in Glasgow. On the estate, there is also the Burrell collection, which is a random collection of all kinds of old things amassed by some chap called Burrell with lots of money.

Some pics of the riverfront in Inverness:

Science Museum, Glasgow:

And some large metal building, that vaguely reminded me of a scarab beetle:

Will shove up a pic of the Glasgow armadillo later, but can't be bothered with the caboodle now (uploading an image here involves getting the image across the network from my hard disk, saving it on the main computer hard disk, opening WebFTP on the main computer, as my computer flatly refuses to load it, uploading the image, which for some reason takes FOREVER and fails one time in two, then remembering the URL for the code).
Am all sulky and upset because I successfully totally forgot I had booked a riding lesson today. This means 1. I have to pay anyway, and 2. I didn't get to ride. Therefore, I decided I was entitled to a ten-year-old moment and had a good cry about it (have been restless and weird all day anyway, so I'm kind of highly strung). Apologies if you now think I'm a total wimp/spoiled brat/simply immature in a bad way.
