Oh. My. God.
Is anyone else watching the news?
Heard about what's going on at this school that's been under siege for 3 days with all the kids held hostage?
Well, they've got most of the kids out, although 7 former hostages were DOA at the hospital. Now reporters have got into the gymnasium where the kids were being held. It's burnt out and a smoking ruin, but they roughly estimate that there are 100 dead bodies in there.
Sick.

Date: 3 Sep 2004 14:34 (UTC)Yes: one of the perks of working here is live news feeds above every Desk in the Dealing Room. Depressing, isn't it? Worse, Putin's response will be to raze Chechnya from North to South, from East to West: and he'll enjoy the grim support of most Russians, who really do think differently to us effete Western Europeans.
