Well...on Friday, Dillon and I continued our wonderful love affair; by the end, he was covered in sweat and about ready to fall asleep.
Well, he had been in several lessons that day, and it was a warm-ish day and I'd been trying to get him properly on the bit for the whole hour. My mother managed to get a few moments of proper, dressage-ring submission from one of the most annoying horses ever who normally cruises around with her nose in the air, go my mum! And the slightly two-sandwiches-short-of-a-picnic guy who rides with us accused her of letting the horse take the micky, LOL! The thing is, to him, a horse is good if it charges round with its head sticking out at high speed. He joyrides horses. I feel sorry for the horses.
I fished 6 frogs out of my brother's hole. 3 of them were cute teeny tiny froglets, yay! So cute. Chucked them into the pond, anyhow.
Oh, and I made a background for my
elured_elurin LJ. No copyright problems, cos I took the photo, go me! I simply went out into the back garden with my camera and photographed the hedge, then fiddled the picture a bit to make it the colour I wanted. I think it looks a bit amateurish, but kind of cool anyway.
Oh, and I discovered last night that I had a whole box of Pocky knocking around that I'd forgotten I'd bought! Well, I simply had to open it, and to keep my sense of balance and rightness, I had to eat all the broken ones...

Date: 19 Sep 2004 12:31 (UTC)I have to know... what is Pocky? You've written of them before, and my ex (who was born and raised in Sheffield) never mentioned them. He did turn me on to Cadbury Flake bars though, which are not sold in the States. *sigh*

Date: 19 Sep 2004 12:47 (UTC)Pocky sticks aren't English; they're from the Far East. They're popular all the way across China and Japan and Thailand, etc. They're like, biscuit sticks with a chocolate coating, and they're sweet and a bit salty which makes for a truly addictive combination. I pick them up from a Chinese supermarket in the town centre.
*grins* I was also born and raised in Sheffield, up until the age of 9 anyway.
