Birthday shoutout to darling [livejournal.com profile] foreverdirt, she of the hot mounties and 'emthal masturbation material' as I recall...!

Have signed up for 2nd year options - looking good. Having the same person as tutor and DoS is a little weird, but should be OK as she is nice and I don't expect to have any problems with her as she supervised me last year and it was fine. I hope the Dean is not, as is rumoured, a workaholic million-essay-setting demon, or he'll find Eni The Teacher's Pet will suddenly turn into a dosser. I only do REASONABLE amounts of work.

Damn...forgot to buy more milk. Never mind.

I found a shop selling Erestor-foodWhite Maltesers. So bought 3 bags then and there. Have eaten 2 this afternoon. Yum!

[livejournal.com profile] psieye showed me Excel Saga. It is so weird it's just untrue! But I think my lack of Japanese cultural knowledge meant I missed some of the gags too. But it is strangely interesting stuff.

The dean is actually evil incarnate. Wellifthe pure personification of evil sets a lot ofwork he is...

We have yet to have a supervision with him and he has already set us two chapters of some book to read! And my nanny says that he gets very sarcastic if you dont read it all like a good child and then remember it. Grrrrrr... now you see why i said evil incarnate

Oh, lovely.

Well, after recent weeks, I've got to the point where I am sick of taking crap. If I don't like his supervision style, there is a good chance I will, in fact, request a new supervisor. For the amount my parents pay in tuition fees, I intend to get an education that works for me!

Hee, thank you! Me too! :) They were made by [livejournal.com profile] say_aye - she has a range of them. Little Glorfindel, Little Erestor, Little Legolas, Little Elladan and Elrohir (together), and Little Glorfindel and Erestor in conversation. Too cute!

Cultural knowledge isn't the only thing one needs to get everything out of Excel Saga (e.g. that Weather Break thing in Ep 2 is actually a parody of a weather program that was on the same TV channel that Excel Saga was originally aired on). That's why some "culture notes" are actually pointers directing your attention to things which we may not catch on our first viewing. Still, I'm glad you like it ^^

Oh and how many of the characters did you recognise in that Lord of the Rings Anime AMV?
