31 October 2004 16:45It's now...what, twenty to five. I got up at quarter past 11. I have finished 2 of 3 essays (except for the picturesinformative diagrams), and thank all higher deities for American public lecture notes! I found a powerpoint presentation that has basically structured and written my essay for me. Now, I have to decide whether I will be selfless and useful, and do an extra essay I don't need to do in order to help the others in my supervision group, or just to do a sensible amount of work and not burn out.
I'm in a kind of strange working-zone that is utterly unfamiliar - I just keep working and working, and when I take a break I don't really know what to do with myself, so 15 minutes later I start working again. I've not seen myself like this for months! I suppose necessity is the mother of invention...
Other work: Plant Sciences write-up, due in a week tomorrow, but might get that out of the way now; Plant Sciences short questions, which I think I'll do tomorrow since we have a week off from Monday afternoon practicals (woohoo!).
Oh, and my mum will be bringing me my new laptop on Sunday, so YAY! It'll be nice to see her again, and hopefully she can be persuaded to bring me one or two other items and hopefully lots of wonderfully cheap stuff from my beloved Nothern English discount stores (which don't seem to exist south of Birmingham).

I call it 'worklust'. I've successfully induced one upon me these last couple of days, but I need to do it again at least twice to see me through this week for my lack of foresight earlier last fortnight. It just drains my brain whenever I successfully get into one of these though... I'm still recovering, but I need to push on and get this all nighter out of the way.
