Had a lovely entry written then my computer decided that backspace meant "close window currently open". Bleh. That's why I wanted Windows 98 on the comp, really. Much better, no matter what anyone else says!

Anyway, Silly Sketches 2004 casting went weirdly. I got "Squeeing Fangirl" (was muchly pleased as I KNOW I will be good at it) and also Minnie Bannister (sp?) and, bizarrely, Boromir (??? ^^).

Was threatened with, "We'll train you up."
This may mean, "You are not very good, but you're the only one who'll do it, so we'll deal." *giggles* Well, I'll try. But I am having problems picturing myself as Boromir.

Eni...Boromir...Eni...Boromir. The only thing we have in common is a Yorkshire origin. But I do NOT have a Yorkshire accent...well, not any more, anyhow. I can't even remember how to do one!

Day started sucky, but has improved majorly since then. CTS games were very good, despite absence of games. We played LOTR pictionary. I have to say, it's harder than you think to draw "Eluréd". Especially because I was halfway through the pic before I remembered that most people do not imagine Eluréd as a tall handsome young adult Elf. So quickly amended, and managed to confuse people terribly by my rendering my Maedhros 'looking' for them as something more like a one-naded stick figure with knitting needles coming out of his eyes...before someone eventually guessed.

Supervision with bad plants guy tomorrow...hope it goes well, as I didn't really understand a lot of ion transport and will need his explanations.

Made meatballs from sausage meat today. Was muchly pleased as they were NICE.

Yes, today has finished as a major improvement on yesterday and this morning.

I think it was more a case of "You're definitely right for the job, you just don't have enough experience of the voice yet". Honest :)

And yes, you'll make a perfect Boromir. There won't be nearly enough people as there should be who'd be insulted by the Mancunian in place of Yorkshire accent.

But eni doesn't have a Mancunian accent!

It does sound quite Mancunian, though. Manc enough to identify as Manc. I mean, I'm very used to Manc accents, and it sounds pretty Manc but with a tinge of other. How would you classify it, Eni?

Generic Northern, currently tending slightly more towards South Manc than anywhere else?

It's likely to be a mixture of Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester, Cheshire, maybe London, Cambridge, and tends towards a blend of Birmingham and Liverpool when I get overexcited :D

Damnit! How could they possibly cast "Squeeing Fangirl" as a female actor?

But no-one squees like Eni... :)

Hey, I'm from West Yorkshire, even if I do live in Ireland!

'Eh, lads, Ah no that Sheffield is inth Saath Yurksheer, but Ahm near enuff ta thaat axcent, ahn't Aye? Oop tha Blades!!'

(I think Sean Bean supports the Blades, doesn't he, says Eawen, cringing if she is wrong...)
