20 November 2004 15:50Lycos has upgraded my e-mail inbox to 300MB. How nice of them.
But they still spell 'successful' as 'successfull' in the installation instructions.
How quaint.
EDIT: Even better, my Lycos account has finally decided to let me send mails from it again, for the first time in at least 6 months. Wooh! I now have a working additional e-mail address that I don't really need!
EDIT2: Even better, my Hotmail account has finally been upgraded after months of waiting. I now have an indecent amount of inbox space, and I don't even have G-mail!
EDIT3: And I fixed my website, without having to bribe my brother, and I don't know any PHP. Realised my .cjb.net domain had stopped working, so had to reactivate it, and in the meantime realised it linked to a members.tripod.co.uk thingy, not a members.lycos.co.uk thingy. It seems that Tripod have decided to stop making .tripod.co.uk URLs work. Once I changed that in the PHP, everything was fine and dandy!
When I get to edit my LJ over 3 good news items, it has to be a good thing, right?

Date: 20 Nov 2004 20:30 (UTC)I actually prefer their older stuff, but any Nightwish is good.
Will second 'Wishmaster' and 'The Kinslayer', but 'Dead Boy's Poem', 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'Beauty of the Beast' are still my favourites.

Date: 20 Nov 2004 21:23 (UTC)I could send you 'Beauty of the Beast' over MSN... Do you not have 'Century Child'? Because 'Ocean Soul' on there is one good song indeed... :-)

If I had to descibe it, I'd say power metal with operatic female vocals, though their later stuff is more symphonic.
They're a bit like later Therion, or more romantic After Forever and Tristania if that helps at all...
They've been compared to Evanescence, but mostly because they have a female vocalist. I don't see much else in common between the two...
