Happy stuff
24 November 2004 16:52Amazingly, in spite of my misreading the instructions for our virology experiement and doing it a bit wrong, it worked stunningly. In fact, the virus actually stuck better in the one I messed up. *is amused* This proves that either it was rigged or the technique is really quite flexible.
Aren't small birds absolutely beautiful close-up? I mean, if you are less than a couple of metres from a great tit, take a look at it... They are amazing, like a perfect, hand-painted figurine. Every time I see one it occurs to me how lovely they are.
And leaves. Autumn leaves are wonderful. I remember we used to bring them into Art classes and draw them. Mine we never very good as I was always bad at colour work, but I would get entranced by the subtelties of the colours. Xanthophylls rule :D (They're the yellow/orange pigments).
And my Blind Guardian CD is here! SQUEEE! And even better, it's a Japanese version (don't ask me why) and has 2 bonus tracks just for Japan!! I am very pleased with myself. And playing it now. And loving it!
Saw lots of LJ people today...
cobalt_skye and
l_j_b in the lecture, obviously, then
pincushions having a supervision and a little way across the room,
fhtagn giving a supervision and looking devastatingly attractive so I had to take
girlofthemirror to show her. And over lunch,
l_j_b and I ran into
dreamfracture and
fiona_kitty in the market, where we merrily squicked
fiona_kitty talking about parasites (sorry, dearie!) and sounded like geeky NatScis. And also saw MHF at the sci-fi bookstall, but he doesn't have an LJ. But he does have a Jómsborg scarf :D
So that was nice, wasn't it?
Good fun day.
