Went to Lesbians' Coffee at Clown's...and typically this was the week Girly was too busy with essays to come. But I had lots of fun and laughs and as always, it put me in a even better mood. We talked about dissertations and anime and Christmas and fridges. People at Homerton have to share a kitchen between 20...argh!

And here I am with 3 others in our kitchen, and it's already a bombsite. Not my doing though! I think maybe one of them broke my toaster...it's unplugged and sitting on the table in the hallway. Will have to test it. Luckily it wasn't expensive...if it is broken, I doubt invoicing the other 3 for its replacement would make me popular.

And stopped by the Van of Death and got yummy chips. Yay!

Van of Death? Is that the same as a Mobile McDonald's?

Pretty much...dubious late-night doner kebab trailer run by some charming Turkish guys. After making the mistake of buying doner kebab when I was already feeling ill, and conseqently feeling worse, I've had an aversion to their ndoner meat - but the chips are the BEST.

sounds it *smiles* I was never a big french fry guy, and from how it was explained to me, a 'chip' is like a big french fry

More or less, yeah. Death chips are probably closer to proper French Fries than to proper British Fish 'n' Chips type of chips. I tent to like them to be a bit less starchy and a bit more salty. :)

*grins* Love 'em. Can't eat them tidily though - they always fall to pieces as soon as I take a bite!

Yours must be closer to homemade, the preprocessed ones at fast food resteraunts here tend to stick together better than fresh made/fried ones. And they hold salt better.

A friend of mine had a mother that fried sweet potatoes, then coated they with marshmellows and cinnimon. It was good but rich. Rich like no bake cookies

Oh no - don't ever, ever eat their doner kebabs! I have not, but I know someone who did and suffered the consequences. Probably safe with chips but not the kebabs!

I never actually got poisoning from one, by some lucky twist of fate. I guess I should count myself lucky :)

Ah, the Van of Death! Satoshi and I survived a few meals of Doner meat from there, but it is excessively unhealthy and a true last resort for food ^^;; Heck, the chips are also rather unhealthy with the amount of grease/oil on them, but still 'healthy' compared to the meat I guess ^^ Then again, I mostly went for the Chicken meat so maybe that's why I didn't suffer.
