Stupid American Question. What happened to deflate the pound so. Wasn't it closer to 3 or 3.5 USD to a pound? Maybe an English Spring vacation isn't as far out of reach as I though. :)
Actually, 6 months ago, it was more like 1.6 dollars to the pound. The dollar seems to be dropping, and the British citizens' ability to run up debt apparently makes the pound stronger. My friend senji believes the dollar has dropped in value 45 cents against the pound in the last 5 years or so.
Bad for British exports, good for imports, I conclude, as I order a bright yellow American T-shirt that now costs but £10.
A T-SHIRT? Good God get a school PO Box and send me a picture of what you want. 19 bucks for a T-shirt is crazy. Actually, just get with illusive_Shelle, I will most likely send her some things in the near future. 19 bucks for a t-Shirt?
Oh, these are limited-ish edition, specially printed Elf on a Shelf T-shirts. And the profits go towards running one of my all-time favourite websites. For most T-shirts, I would quite agree, but these ones have Mystical Properties :D
Ah OK, for a minute I thought the British economy was going nuts. I was orgering these goth things for a friend in England. Never really understood the Goth out look on things, although I do dress in Black alot. Its more of the attitude than a fashion design. Anyway, on this site was a link to British Clubing. Seems things that light up are in style, at least by this web site. There was a t-shirt on there that had flashing lights. I was thinking, you would have to shoot me before I wore that. Or at least had Shelle ask me to wear it. Even then I might not get out of the kennel. (Some goofy thing she says about hitting me, she thinks I am a dog. *lol*) (I wonder if that makes her a B..) nah I'll leave that alone. I love her :)
Oh bugger... (Excuse me, just that mum now earns dollars and this sounds like many more vacations working 11 hours a day for me then...) :-/ But otherwise, sounds like I'm going to go mad buying American import CDs. :-) Don't think this is going to last... The pound can't take it (or so economists tell me, but then economists often get the economy wrong).
