To friends!
28 November 2004 14:40Gacked off several people:
If there is at least one person in your life who you consider a close friend, and who you would not have met without being part of an online fandom, post this sentence in your journal.
Because there are a number of you, and you are wonderful and I am so very happy that I met you all. *huggles and kisses*
I was told yesterday that if I believe that there is still much to be happy about in this world, that makes me naive.
I think I disagree. I think there is much to be happy about.
There are more than enough awful things, yes. But there are not just awful things. I like the nice things better, overall, so I don't want to forget them.
People in love and sunshine and flowers and funny dreams and silly jokes and hats and teddy bears and strawberries and pretty poetry and orange juice and comfy chairs and kids learning new stuff and being all proud and excited, and new babies and chocolate and music and soppy movies and walks in the middle of the night under the stars and Children in Need day and Comic Relief and people going on holiday for the first time and sunsets and little shiny beetles and...
OK, I'll shut up now. Sorry.

Yes, I agree - forgetting the good stuff must turn people into terribly miserable old gits!

Heeee, a tarsier is the fluffy thingy in the picture. They're a kind of primate...I guess they qualify as monkeys (they are a bit of a pain to classify, because they look more like a primitive monkey, but genetically they are more evolved than people expected). They have eyeballs bigger than their brains, and basically almost nothing is known about their behaviour as they are nocturnal and live deep in some rainforests in Asia. And they are CUTE! *grins widely*

What a wonderful phrase
Hakuna Matata!
Ain't no passing craze
It means no worries
For the rest of your days
It's our problem-free philosophy
Hakuna Matata!
Why, when he was a young warthog...
When I was a young wart hoooog!
Oh my...ahem, yes so anyway, thats a great mental attitude to have. *hides*

Date: 29 Nov 2004 01:44 (UTC)*hugs Eni* Sweetie, no offense, but you're bouncier than mexican jumping beans, but in a good way. :) Someone was just being cranky at you. As long as I don't have to be chipper, feel free to be as optomistic as you like. (Look, try having freezing weather Thanksgiving and being cheerful... if the cold doesn't rack ya off, the grey that will stick around the next 4 months will... maybe it's just me. *shrug*)

Date: 29 Nov 2004 01:52 (UTC)And no, you don't have to be permanently chipper. I might be as bouncy as a Mexican jumping bean, but I am not permanently chipper! We've all got to be human in the end! *shivers* I hate freezing weather too *goes to hug radiator*
