I am off to a party in about half an hour or so, so I guess I should post now, saying bye bye to 2004. 2005 is a less aesthetically pleasing number, I find, but there's a certain sharpness and crispness to it that's appealing nonetheless.
2004 was great - I met so many people, and acquired most of my lovely Flist, started to grow up a bit, got fics out, bought lots of music.
2005 will be even better. I say so! Lots of opportunities in 2005.
And it divides by 5, which feels sort of satisfying. To give 401, which is an absurd but nice number.
You NZers are already in 2005...how does it feel? I can take the hem up if it's a bit long. Or maybe add a dart in the back so it fits better.
I should get a toastie before I leave...
Now there's a thought. Right, I am designating 2004 the Year of the Toastie.

*Leaves her white malteasers and bourbon creams for after her party.*

Date: 1 Jan 2005 15:42 (UTC)The great news is that one of the flies has been laying eggs - I woke up this morning and found little wriggly larvae in the jar.
I think I must be the only person to consider finding tiny maggots to be a GOOD thing. This means a new generation, anyway :D
Happy New Year to y'all too!

Date: 1 Jan 2005 05:01 (UTC)And if you add up the digits in 401 you get a number that also divides by 5. *grin* That's always a cool thing. (Sorry 'bout that. I'm a freak when it comes to numbers.)
Happy New Year, darlin'.
