Oooh. I just found a jumper at the back of my wardrobe that I actually thought I'd left at home by mistake. Well...cool :)
I have been pretty wrapped up in myself (and, to a lesser extent, RL) lately. So to anyone who has needed sympathy, thoughts or who I really should have dropped a little note with to say, "I know stuff is not so great for you; hope you're OK and I DO care," sorry for being so neglectful. I probably have been thinking of you and just been too ditzy to comment. Have been reading your LJ, really!
cobalt_skye's party on Saturday was lovely and I am very glad I went and didn't call in sick, cos once I got there I felt much better, and the Pod are lovely and the people were all lovely, actually, and Kirsch is good for coughs. And the food was great even if I didn't eat much. Thanks to all involved!!
CTS was funny. "What if...Faramir had gone to Rivendell instead of Boromir?" As usual, we managed to end up with a lesbian socialist utopia, and this time Eowyn and Arwen had their own toyboy backup Hobbits! And Frodo and Sam died horribly, which is never bad. And Gandalf's fireworks were great! Poor Legolas and Gimli though, grounded until the Elves sail...
Oh, I appear to have allowed myself to be talked into standing for Gwaihir the Windlord (=2nd Officer Without Portfolio). This seems to be a rather good arrangement, as I am told it requires no real skill or time commitment, but does give me an extra thingy to say on my CV anyway.
Also Port afterwards was nice. Thank you to whoever bought the Port :D :D
Work settled down to a non-stressful level again, thankfully. Only a presentation to plan, two essays I ought to write really kind of and, as always, plenty of papers I would do well to read if I motivate myself to do so. Wheeeeeeee!
