Today I have bought myself a college scarf.

For those of you who don't already know, our college colours are claret and rose, i.e. burgundy and pink. Consequently, the popularity of Catz college scarves among many male members of the college is rather low - something to do with them feeling it makes them look effeminate *confused frown* I have no such problems, although I suspect the scarf does not go with my turquoise top.

I am sitting in my room, wearing my college scarf whilst typing.

As one does.

Up until about 20 years ago, this was an all-male college. And the colours were still burgundy and pink. I wonder why they chose them, out of all the others available.

I love my college.

Oh, also one of my Amazon books arrived.

Yippeeeee!

The Door Into Sunset by Diane Duane, Book 3 of the epic Tale of the Five. Or that's how it tends to get advertised. Great series, anyway. Borderline slashy, good humour, and like all Diane Duane's grown-up stuff, gets very complicated relatively quickly. My main criticism is the appendices, which try to justify dragon magic in terms of science, which annoyed me a bit as I don't see the point in trying to explain magic scientifically. Still, no-one forced me to read the appendices, so I shouldn't really be moaning.

Plus I've just discovered Elf on a Shelf T-shirts, and found myself fighting temptation to order one straight away. That can be my present for later on this term when I've done something Good.

Does anyone know if Cassie Claire has other T-shirts out besides the Gollum ones?
