Bouncy squee news - the girl who came second place on Mastermind this evening is an ex-fanficcer and Cambridge graduate! When I was attempting (and largely failing, but nevermind) to found the Cambridge Fanfic Society, she was one of the people I got in contact with. Unfortunately I can't confirm for sure that it's the same person as neither of her old e-mail addresses work any more, but she has the same name and is from the same Uni, and it's not a common name, so I think it's fair to say it was probably "Belsornia" who just did really well on Mastermind. She specialised on Ice Dancing and got the top score for that section. *impressed* Well done her! :D
She recced the Bagenders series to me - I've lost the link, but that was a hilarious little series indeed.
I also watched Bill Oddie admiring guillemots in the same place as we saw thousands of 'em in Pembrokeshire on our field trip in first year. Which gave rise to the, "Squee! We went there and did that!" reaction.
