So, Happy birthday wishes to...

fimbrethiel for today (23rd)
Eni's dad for today
!!!
Riding was good. Rode a horse called Heather, who is very sweet but far more senstive and with a softer mouth than I am used to, so took a rather different riding style. Got a bit annoyed with an idiot rider behind me, who spent half the lesson with her horses's nose nearly touching Heather's backside. So I really don't blame Heather at all for kicking out a bit at the damned horse when it really did nearly run her over. In a large group, it's not always easy to get the spacing good, especially if the front riders are going slowly, but I expect each rider to take responsibility for leaving a reasonable space between their horse and the one in front, in case the one in front stops suddenly, bucks or is evil and kicks at the slightest provokation. It's one of my biggest pet hates, as it is common sense and a matter of safety.
Also went shopping. Now have a new pair of trousers (for the first time ever, the first shop we walked into, the first pair I tried on - fitted fine! Success and I win!), and 2 new sets of pyjamas. I don't know if I am overly demanding with pyjamas, but to me it does not seem to be much to ask for long sleeved pyjamas (=warmer) with no buttons (buttons are not nice to lie on!). Eventually found that Tesco sell pants and tops separately, so bought pyjama pants and, since the tops were chilly frilly monstrosities (no offence to people who like their pyjamas like that), a regular long sleeved T-shirt a couple of sizes too big.
Hooray! I win at pyjamas!
Oh, also - my Plants Part II project came through. I'm doing The evolutionary relationship between flowering plants and the insects that pollinate them - so flowers and bumblebees as my degree! Sounds lovely to me! What are you doing,
perplexednatsci? None of the other Part II PlantScis are on LJ, are they? *pouts*
Am in Worcester/Malverns all weekend, so probably no more updates till Monday. Love you all lots!
So, Happy birthday wishes to...
