WRITING!

Happy Slightly Belated Birthday chess!

It's so, so wonderful I almost don't know what to do with myself! I actually feel like I'm *allowed* to write for once - normally I won't let myself because there are always more important things I could be doing (the joys of being a student - no clear work/life divide). But now...now I have nothing better to do!

And so I found myself a spot by a stream on Sheep's Green and wrote for a full hour. A duck came past with her four fluffy little ducklings. A HUGE fish sploshed around in the shallows. Spiders walked around in the grass and some curious flies wondered if I was edible (I wasn't).

So, fics that seem to be receiving my attention at present:

• Elurín fic - rather close to being finished, one chapter to go. A pure self-indulgence fic; if two people read it, I'll be amazed.
  
• Rávo fic - needs lots of work. This is, if anything, even more of a for-my-own-amusement fic. I have no idea how long it will be or when I'll finish it.
  
• BDSM fic - it's naughty and has spanking, yay.
  
• All I Have Left - it's now closer to the finish than to the start!
  
• Rúmil fic

Those are the priorities. There are other fics also on the agenda!

So many fun things to do... Yay.

Oops.

Accidentally upended half a sachet of Watermelon-Cherry Kool-Aid powder on my bedroom floor.

Observations:
1. Inhaling Kool-Aid powder that rises in clouds from such a spillage results in coughing and a burning sensation.
2. Wiping said powder up from the floor with a damp cloth results in parquet floor turning dark pink.

Fun afternoon. Met up with mad_natsci and we got ice-cream and wandered around chatting about this and that. Ice-cream place on Jesus Green does really realy yummy hazelnut ice-cream! Wow.

It's still really hot and sunny here, and the BBC seem to think it will stay like this for many days yet. Luckily, I have SPF 35, so hopefully no lobster pink Enis.
