The answer? A nice topless Bagoas! Huzzah!

Fun afternoon. Met up with [livejournal.com profile] mad_natsci and we got ice-cream and wandered around chatting about this and that. Ice-cream place on Jesus Green does really realy yummy hazelnut ice-cream! Wow.

It's still really hot and sunny here, and the BBC seem to think it will stay like this for many days yet. Luckily, I have SPF 35, so hopefully no lobster pink Enis.

Well, I have this response - it's practically a Pavlovian reflex - where I check mail in Outlook Express pretty much any time I'm not doing anything else. So every 3 minutes or so, my hand automatically shoots out and maximises the OE window, checking mail and covering up the Bagoas.

Then my brain snaps out of its drooling stupor and reminds me to do other stuff too! *grins*

Speaking of, I read The Persian Boy this past month and I can tell you that it was really, really, reallyreally good. It was probably a plus that I had just taken an "Age of Alexander" class at school and so could keep up better with all of the Random Greek Dudes. But holy crap was it good historical fiction. Definitely recommended for historical fictioness, and also because you'll have that in your mind's eye the whole time you're reading the book, which is always a plus!
