The character meme from [livejournal.com profile] dawn_felagund

It looked fun, though I'll probably be terrible at it!!

The meme:
-You may ask my character a question. The character will answer it, no matter how silly or whatever it may be. You may ask any of my characters, and you may ask as many questions as you like. Characters who refuse to speak will be hung from Thangorodrim.
-Like everyone else I am going with Arandil's rules in saying that dead characters and characters in the Halls of Mandos *do* answer questions.
-If they do not appear in my stories, then they do not answer questions.

*hopes muses are feeling chatty today*

ETA: Because I like my RP Elves so very much, I'm going to extend the meme and say you can ask any Elf I've written in an RP as well. That includes IM roleplay and ones on groups. :)

Do I know what characters you are referring to? Do I want to know?

Any character out of any fic I've written, basically. (Of course, I suspect asking anonymous servants/guards questions would not be too productive, but if they have appeared in a fic they're fair game...)

How's summer going for you?

It could be; think of figwit, or my and pippa's stories about mablung, damrod, and the blue wizards.

Aah, but then they cease to be just a random unnamed character only there to bring in food, bow and leave, and begin to become a real, thinking, acting Elf with personality and feelings! *grins*

Well, yes, but before they're genuinely spear carriers: the act of asking makes them alive. Kind of the reverse of Schrodinger's cat.

Unfortunately I haven't read any of yours since ages ago, when I read what you said was a very early work, Rumil/Faelion iirc (is there a story I should start with?) Um, Erestor: do you set R/F up because you enjoy imagining them, because you see R in yourself, or because you're just nice? :)

Ooh, Underestimated. Yes, very early, but I'm still kind of fond of it - it might not be exceptional, but I think it was the best I could have done with the skill I had at the time, and the Elves were nice to work with. :)

*Erestor looks rather surprised, as he hasn't been let out to play in Eni's head for months and months* *smiles fondly*
Well...I understood how it must feel for RĂºmil, to be so taken with someone who felt so unachievable and desperately wanting to impress him, but not having the first idea where to start. So, yes, I suppose I did see him in myself - the circumstances were very different for me, of course, but I could easily see him making the mistake I did, of abandoning the idea too soon and ending up spending ages without hope when he should have taken a gamble.

And, of course, they do look incredibly endearing together... Not that I need to imagine them when I have a beautiful naked Glorfindel lounging on my bed and awaiting my return. *smiles enigmatically*

What was I talking about again?

Oh, and there isn't any particular order to the stories I've written, should you perchance be taken with the insane urge to read any. I have thusfar refused to write a sequel to any of my stories, so they all stand alone. If they're published online, it means I don't regard any of them as bad, but probably the best of them is A Falcon for the Nightingale (http://www.lotrfanfiction.com/viewstory.php?sid=3929).

Of course, it takes itself rather seriously compared to something like The Secret Diaries, so don't expect much in the way of giggles if you do read (well, possibly giggling at the urple prose, but not much else!).

Thanks. (Yes; what I meant was mostly if there's one you think is a best example.)

ROFL. *Everything* is serious compared to the secret diaries :) It's true I tend to enjoy funny stories, but I'll give at least one elf slash a look :)

I summarised my summer in an e-mail.
As for questions; I haven't read anything you've written but I am inclined to ask if any character is aware of such things as non-sexual relationships?:-P

*sniggers*

I got the e-mail, yay :)

And yes...some of them are, I'm sure...I just can't think of any names in particular to give you at this moment in time...um...the random servant?! *grins*

Oh, yay, I do like! I came out as a bat (http://www.animalinyou.com/Bat.htm), which is extremely cool, as Uli got me a furry bat cuddly toy for Christmas entirely on impulse. *bounces*
