Happy Birthday Arhuaine!

And thank you to naath for making Foreyule happen. You did a great job and it was yummy! :D

I drank wine and Port and said silly things. atreic looked gorgeous. naath looked gorgeous. In fact, everyone looked gorgeous (except me; I looked silly, but that was intentional). There was a megamole and AnnaEstherness, which are Good Things. And lots of Matthews! *bounces* Also, shouts of TARDIGRADE!

The mushroom soup was, as ever, divine. There were cool people and lots of cool conversation. I took some pictures but they came out so badly I won't bother posting any of them and will just wait for everyone else to post pictures and then link to them.

We all need to nag ania_ramblings to either use her LJ again or get a new one!

Altogether, I had a wonderful time - and was, amazingly, in bed by 2:30am!

Someone missed the target with a compound bow. Compound bow is to ordinary recurve bow as Hummer is to Ford Escort. So the arrow went about 1 inch into the wall. *giggles*

I think I am getting better, inasmuch as I am noticing a weak positive correlation between the quality of my technique and the arrow going somewhere sensible. :D

In other news, Fetzer CabSauv is still half price. w00t, sayeth Eni.

I do not doubt that you, too, looked gorgeous.

But as I have never attended a Foreyule - and indeed I am unsure as to what a Foreyule is - I cannot offer an authoritative opinion.

Hehehe. It's the CTS annual before-Christmas dinner, involving turkey and mushroom soup and gammon and goodies. It tends to be very good :)

I am not sure...I suspect it probably did, though it might have to be straightened again!

The arrow seemed to be in more or less perfect condition afterwards, minus still having a moderate amount of plaster attached to it. I don't think the wall is very hard.

I fired a compound bow a few times when I was, um, 12 or 13? And no kind of bow since.

I'd like to learn to use an atlatl one day.

The correct plural for Anna and Esther (and Lydia) is The Death Squad- it isn't that hard to work out why...
