Places I need to visit before I graduate:

Addenbrookes
Ely (+cathedral)
Peterborough
March (cos the name sounds cool)
Huntingdon
St Neot's
That dedication plaque in Caius chapel (to the former master of Caius and his gay lover)
Churchill college
King's chapel
Grantchester, by a means other than punt

(more to be added later)

Hey, I just remembered I'm giving blood today... Neat. :)

The March March March. If you feel like 30 mile walk. Personally I'll pass year, though I'd like to do it sometime.

I was thinking just this morning that I wanted to get back out to Ely cathedral with my camera sometime in the summer.

Um, here on Station Rd it's still February...

Yes, le sigh. I tend to work out what month it is from what date Saturday falls on, so when Saturday falls on the same dates for 2 successive months I get hopelessly confused.

Personally I'm not going to make any stronger claim than “I can usually remember which month it is”.

Argh, no it wasn't cos it's February!

I HATE February, with its 28 screwed up days! Rrah! I messes up my timekeeping...

The apostrophe in St Neots is very definitely atrophied.

Clearly, you should go to a CURS One-Off in Churchill at some point and stop random CURS types nagging you and fit your Churchill tickybox.

Also, I'm sure that "the top of St. John's Chapel Tower" should be on this list if you've not already done that.

Ooh, I think it should be, but I am unsure if I'll have chance to visit it before Easter term, and don't they lock it up and stuff during Easter term? (I seem to remember a conversation in which I wondered if I was capable of looking so fluffy, bouncy and just plain happy that they'd make an exception just for me...)

I think we should have some kind of CTS finalists' visit to Ely cathedral. That'd be really wicked - I've never even been to Ely before...

How many CTS finalists do we actually have atm? *grins*

I might count, as it's the final year of my PhD. Ely is nice.

I believe it was an article [livejournal.com profile] talullahred linked to once about gay people in history, and it mentioned offhand that somewhere in Caius chapel, there is a memorial plaque dedicated to some guy who I think was a former master and also to his gay lover (though the wording was a little more eloquent). I keep meaning to go and see, but haven't got round to it yet.

Add to that, "North Sea coast of Germany, Weser estuary" and "Leipzig, Germany". If you like, that is...
*g*

Oooh, wow! Definitely places I would LOVE to visit somewhere along the line, though I'm unfortunately not sure I'd be able to find the money/time to do it before July (when I graduate)! But I will move heaven and earth to make sure I visit one or both of those eventually! :D :D

Well, July is not far off, that's true... but I'll be in Leipzig for another 1-2 years (at least it looks like it for now) and my parents are not going anywhere in the near future. So at least the North Sea coast is an option. *g*
You see what you do about it.

At some point in my life I will definitely do Moscow! The photos I've seen look too amazing for me not to go!
