I actually am several days overdue for a birthday shoutout to [livejournal.com profile] melime, so Happy Birthday [livejournal.com profile] melime! for Sunday. If you want to try English hot chocolate as a thank you for your cool American ones, I can pick up some sachets and send them over!!

Today was good. I ran a mile! Brother is unimpressed with mile-running - he thinks I should run at least 4! I think it's a big improvement on "round the block", which was what I managed last week. So I am ignoring him.

Besides, I have marzipan cappucino and orange Matchmakers. I bet he doesn't have marzipan cappucino and orange Matchmakers.

Though he does have lots of random tall, adolescent friends who phone and call at the house all the time!

Today I made notes on 15 pages of review about acetylcholinesterase biosensors. I am now going to make notes on 7 pages of baboons grooming each other, and then go to bed.

I think, with all my young fit adulthood, my personal best running distance was 800m. The school attempted to get me to run it a number of times but I only managed it once.
Now I doubt I could manage 400m =P

So yes! I am impressed!

Very impressed with your running! Your brother doesn't know what he's talking about! :-)

See how long it takes to do Cambridge station to New Hall one day;)
If my brain wasn't trying to revise civil military relations the last line could cause a few laughs!

Eeee! I got the big green font! Thank you! XD And I would love to try some English hot chocolate, if it doesn't cost too much to ship it. You and your crazy hot chocolate powder in the jar!

You ran a mile!? Holy crap! You must be in great shape in order to do so. Wow. I can't even run a quarter. Go you!!

Awesome! I can get the little "taster" sachets that seem to be slowly repopulating the supermarkets! (I guess the US influence is finally making it over here! And it's a good way to find out if you like a new brand, I guess, buying one serving for 20p or something!).

I can only run a mile in trainers and jogging pants - if I try it in normal clothes I give up after about 100 yards or something! Something special about trainers, I guess...

Squee! Thank you! :D

Yeah, the less clothes, the better the running. I actually run better with my bare feet than in sneakers. In jeans I can barely run at all. Too tight, anyhow. But still, a mile? The only time I could run a mile was in middle school when I was in track, and then only just barely. Now I get out of breath after only a little bit and my legs hurt (especially the knees). :( I am soooo out of shape.
