5 April 2006 00:22I actually am several days overdue for a birthday shoutout to
melime, so Happy Birthday
melime! for Sunday. If you want to try English hot chocolate as a thank you for your cool American ones, I can pick up some sachets and send them over!!
Today was good. I ran a mile! Brother is unimpressed with mile-running - he thinks I should run at least 4! I think it's a big improvement on "round the block", which was what I managed last week. So I am ignoring him.
Besides, I have marzipan cappucino and orange Matchmakers. I bet he doesn't have marzipan cappucino and orange Matchmakers.
Though he does have lots of random tall, adolescent friends who phone and call at the house all the time!
Today I made notes on 15 pages of review about acetylcholinesterase biosensors. I am now going to make notes on 7 pages of baboons grooming each other, and then go to bed.

Date: 6 Apr 2006 11:54 (UTC)I can only run a mile in trainers and jogging pants - if I try it in normal clothes I give up after about 100 yards or something! Something special about trainers, I guess...

Date: 6 Apr 2006 19:51 (UTC)Yeah, the less clothes, the better the running. I actually run better with my bare feet than in sneakers. In jeans I can barely run at all. Too tight, anyhow. But still, a mile? The only time I could run a mile was in middle school when I was in track, and then only just barely. Now I get out of breath after only a little bit and my legs hurt (especially the knees). :( I am soooo out of shape.
