Easter Day update.
16 April 2006 17:33May however you choose to celebrate today, and for whatever reason, bring you great happiness. :)
And also, happy birthday to
kitsunenine and
gyre!
I'm updating whilst sitting in the garden mostly because of the novelty value of being able to do so! *grins* The sun is shining, the weather is divine and I am a happy Eni. We went for a walk in Lymm and saw lots of wood anemones and celandines, which was delightful.
Granny came to stay with us as of yesterday and it's actually working pretty well. She told me lots of funny stories yesterday, and she's basically very non-intrusive. So yay! LOL And she randomly potters round at 2 in the morning, which makes me feel less like a freak! *grins*
I have new glasses. They are not purple, but they've actually been properly fitted so are very comfortable. And aside from the not-purpleness, they look pretty much identical to the last pair.
Right eye: -1.25 shortsightedness, +0.25 astigmatism
Left eye: -1.50 shortsightedness, +0.25 astigmatism
The left eye astigmatism is new. The nice man in Specsavers also gave me a Creme Egg, cos it's Easter. *bounces*

Date: 17 Apr 2006 04:55 (UTC)LOL and YAY to your non-intrusive grandma. Mine never learned to manage that, hehe! ;)
Double-Yay to new glasses. There is nothing worse than glasses that don't fit you properly... well, at least not a whole lot that is worse. So have fun peeping on Elves with them! O:)

Date: 17 Apr 2006 23:16 (UTC)Thank you! I will peep at many Elves indeed, I hope. Old glasses were OK, but the arms were too long so rubbed behind my ear. New ones had specially shortened arms just for me (they are young person's glasses, so had short arms to start with, but the opticians had them shortened ever more! Clearly my head is just tiny - but isn't there a word "Köpfchen" in German - makes it sound to me like people with small heads are smarter *grins*).
