Well, it looks like I'm not doing a viva tomorrow. I generally deem this a Good Thing.

In a way, finding out I'm not doing a viva is probably a more useful indicator of my result than finding out I was doing one would have been. What this presumably means is that I am emphatically not on a grade boundary. In practice, this means either I have a very solid, mid-range, mass-produced 2.1, which will make me a happy Eni, or the world is about to end and I have a mid-range-ish 2.2, which I don't expect is the case; my belief is that if I got a 2.2 it would have been a borderline one. Or else hell has frozen over and I got a mid-range 1st. Considering the weather today (Jai's fault!!!), I really don't think hell's doing the whole freezing thing.

The good news, therefore, is that I get to see [livejournal.com profile] innocencest tomorrow and finish Firefly-watching and eat junk food, and also that I can have a lie in (and so am allowed to roleplay tonight, squeeness!).

Good luck good luck good luck to [livejournal.com profile] perplexednatsci - you'll be great!

*giggles* You've got a much better chance of reaching me through LJ than by texting; I check my flist several times a day!

So I'll be seeing you tomorrow at 1pm (give or take fifteen minutes), then?

Yep! Bus goes at 10 past 12 as I recall, so I might be a bit early.

Hehehe, this time I was actually at my computer when I found out!

Is this only Plantscis having been told about vivas?

Yes, just us - the PlantScis getting viva'd get informed today in a list that got e-mailed to all of us. Only about half of us get viva'd this year cos we're a big group; the ones who do are doing them tomorrow between 9:30am and 4:30pm.

Tonight we get smashedhave a meet-and-greet with our external examiner, who is Howard's buddy from Sheffield. Meanwhile, Howard is in Durham being an external examiner for the peeps there.

Zoology people need to go and look at the list in the department tomorrow, I think. Not sure what time it's being posted, though.

Thank you! Have been re-reading my project and Trends essay, and is slowly coming back to me. *Fingers crossed*.

I made the same remark about hell freezing and England freezing to BTFFF officers yesterday- then again stranger things do happen (*remembers texting exclamation marks to indicate someones results last year*).
