Today started off cool but then turned hot in the afternoon. Riding was thusly rather hot. But I was less embarrassingly dreadful than last week and the horse actually did some work.
What I will never understand is why, after a long, hard lesson in summer temperatures, you take the horse back to the stable and rather than doing the sensible thing and getting a long, cool drink, the bonkers animals start munching hay. Insane.
As usual when someone else tacks up Millie, it was all on wrong, ranging from slightly insecure to technically unsafe. Bah. It's cos the riding school has a load of 11 year old girls running around, and someone will yell at them, "JOSIE! Will you go and tack up Albert for the 5:30 lesson?" I don't think half of them have been formally trained in correct tacking up, but because they're hanging around and don't insist on being paid, they're used as slave labour/general dogsbodies. Bah.
1. Copy and paste your LJ Friends List into an update and leave behind an LJ Cut.
2. If you've met them in person or otherwise know them from the offline world, bold their screenname. If you've only talked to them on the phone, italicize their name. If you've only talked to them online, leave their name alone. If you have someone on your Friends List who has multiple LJ's, only use one and get rid of the rest from the list. If you met them in person first1, underline their name.
3. Post and let other people copy the meme.

1For the purposes of convenience, I count "met them in person first" as "meeting them in person before friending their LJ", rather than "meeting them in person before ever coming across them in cyberspace at all"; running on that basis, half my now-RL friends I'd known as usernames for up to a year before actually meeting them.
2I know I've met Arhuaine in person. I don't think I met the rest of the system at the time.
3I think I actually met Luin before I friended her LJ, but the two happened the same day or close to!
4I'm not sure I will count, "I think I saw you in Sainsbury's once but am not sure."
Some of those haven't-mets definitely need rectifying! :D
