No more viruses!
29 February 2004 13:35I have received 4 viruses in the last half hour. I'm sick of it.
People, if you get an e-mail from someone you don't know - or even someone you do know - with an attachment over about 15K, a mysterious title and not a proper explanation of what's in the attachment, then you look and find the attachment's a .scr .com .pif .exe or even a .zip, it's a virus. Delete it, don't bloody open it! I already own a copy of MyDoom - please stop sending me more, it's boring!
/rant mode
EDIT: Make that 9 virus mails. Grrrrrrrrrrr.

Date: 29 Feb 2004 18:09 (UTC)I delete anything and everything with an attatchment now-a-days, unless I know absolutely for sure that someone was sending me something via email. Some people never learn, I guess. It's the same thing my mom has to deal with at work (she's a network administrator at a school). She tells everyone to keep their virus software up-to-date, but then they call her at home and ask her if she can help fix their stupid home computers because they didn't follow her advice. *sighs* Not that I'm bitter or anything. ;)
*also switches off rant mode* How did this get turned on?
